Solution

Energy metering & billing for generator operators.

A certified meter on every subscriber line, readings that arrive on their own, and a platform that compares what your generator produced with what you billed.

The problem

Where generator revenue leaks.

Operators know their diesel bill to the dollar. What happens to the electricity after it leaves the generator is much harder to see.

Bypass and theft

A wire around the meter, or a hookup with no meter at all. The generator works harder, the bills stay the same.

Estimates and flat fees

Amperage-based subscriptions and estimated readings lead to bills nobody can check.

Slow, disputed collection

Without a reading history, every disagreement turns into an argument at the door.

How it works

From the meter to the bill.

Each building gets certified meters wired to one radio node. A gateway on a rooftop collects every building in range. Full technical details

  1. Certified meters

    MID · Modbus RS485
  2. Radio node

    One per building
  3. Rooftop gateway

    Covers the neighbourhood
  4. Telemetrica platform

    Hosted locally
  5. Operator & subscribers

    Dashboards · bills · alerts

Readings every 15 minutes. Only the gateway needs an internet connection.

For operators

What you get.

Automatic readings

Every meter reports every 15 minutes. No more monthly rounds with a notebook.

Generated vs billed

A meter on each feeder measures what leaves the generator. The platform compares it with the sum of your subscribers' meters.

Bypass and loss alerts

When the gap grows beyond normal line losses, you see which feeder and when it started.

Bills from real kWh

Bills are calculated from certified readings using your own tariff, ready to print or send.

Network health

Voltage, generator runtime and outages per feeder, so you can answer complaints with facts.

Faster collection

Every bill comes with a reading history the subscriber can check, so there is less to argue about.

For subscribers

  • Pay for what you use. Bills come from a certified meter, not an estimate.
  • Watch your consumption. Daily and monthly usage, so there are no surprises at the end of the month.
  • Know when power is on. Supply status and voltage at your meter.

FAQ

Questions operators ask.

Do the buildings or subscribers need internet?

No. Each building needs only electricity for the radio node. The readings travel over long-range radio to a gateway on a nearby rooftop, and only the gateway needs an internet link.

What happens during power cuts?

The meters keep a cumulative kWh count, so no consumption is lost for billing. Readings pause while a meter has no power and resume on their own when it comes back.

Are the meters accurate enough to bill from?

We use MID-certified meters, the European standard for meters used in billing. Each subscriber gets their own meter, installed in the operator's panel.

How do you detect bypass and illegal hookups?

A meter on the feeder measures everything the generator sends out. When the total of the subscriber meters falls short of that figure by more than normal line losses, the platform flags the feeder and the time window where it happened.

Who owns the data?

The operator. Data is hosted locally, it is never sold, and you can export your readings and bills at any time.

Can you use the meters we already have?

Sometimes. Meters with a Modbus RS485 port can often be connected. Older mechanical or basic digital meters usually need replacing with certified meters. We check this during the site survey.

How far does the radio reach?

Typically one to a few kilometres in built-up areas, depending on buildings and terrain. We place gateways after a coverage survey, and add one where the signal is weak.

What does it cost?

It depends on the number of subscribers, buildings and gateways. We quote after a site survey, and the pilot shows the results before any wider commitment.

Running a generator network? Start with one feeder.

We install on a single feeder, run it alongside your current billing, and show you what the numbers say before you decide anything.
